I have lived in Stephenville for almost five years now and have lived in four different houses. There are so many options available to students or young adults moving here, you just have to do some research.
100X Cabins
These cabins are located on Pigeon Road, right before the intersection of FM 3025. I stumbled on these by total accident. I was scrolling through Facebook and saw an advertisement for these "100X Cabins." I have been in touch with Chris and Misty Walter owner/builder of WPM LLC and 100X Cabins since February and they have gone over and beyond to help me. I moved into my cabin on June 1st and have been so pleased with this little place. These cabins are newly built and there are currently only four, which to my
knowledge are all filled. There are plans to build more and there are a few currently in the works, so if you're planning on living in Stephenville for a while this may be a place to look into in the future! These cabins are one bedroom : one bath.The cabin includes: fenced in backyards, secured gated entry, trash, water and WiFi. I am only responsible for electricity. They also include brand new appliances: New stove, above microwave, fridge AND stackable washer and dryer (this was a big deal to me). Pets are welcome with an additional fee and deposit. I have looked at many houses, town-homes and apartments and found that rent can run up to nearly $1,200 a month. Even some of the places I lived in with roommates added up. Being able to cut back on some of those costs has helped me budget more and be able to put some more money back. Many places don't provide or have washer and dryers or hookups. This was a big deal breaker for me when looking for a place to live. I really wanted the convince of being able to do laundry in my own place and not have to plan trips to the laundry mat. The amount of cabinet space these cabins have are AMAZING. I literally never imagined I would have extra room for my stuff, but I do!
Now lets talk about these floors.....
I have had SO many people comment, message and ask me about the beautifully done epoxy floors. It takes ten hours to epoxy the floors in each cabin and they are made with a lot of patience and creativity. Pictures do not do this place justice at all. The picture to the right was taken before I moved in and the cabinets were not yet done. Its crazy because when the light hits the floor it shimmers and glitters a beautiful clay color. Never in a million years did I think I could live in this nice of a place at the age of 24 by myself. I have always had roommates and loved having people to come home too and live with but this was a big step living on my own. Decorating and getting all settled in has been so much fun. Shout out to the boyfriend for having patience with me and helping me hang everything on the walls and get moved in. I have so much more to add and shuffle around but I couldn't be more pleased with how everything looks at the moment.

These rentals have a rustic style with horse amenities and are reasonably priced. Hope this helps anyone on the search for rentals. Also joining certain Facebook Pages such as Stephenville, Tx: Houses, storage, buisnesses for sale or rent are very helpful and share listings you may not find else where. It's also a public group so anyone can join! If you see a place that you like - do yourself a favor and CALL the owner/landlord or company.
